The Principal of the firm, Michael has cultivated a practice guided by thoughtful, practical and common sense approaches to all manner of civil and commercial disputes. As a business owner himself, he has a particular sensitivity to the cost of litigation, and the concept of proportionality between input and outcomes. Simply put, Michael has a keen recognition that the ultimate responsibility of an advocate is to solve a client's problems while leaving the most amount of money in their pocket. This fundamental principle guides the formation of litigation strategies and calibrates settlement positions. Since the beginning of his practice in 2007, Michael's clients have been voicing their appreciation of his novel and refreshing approach to litigation matters. Michael prides himself on having fostered a culture of aggressive, effective, and results oriented approaches to the problems faced by litigants from all walks of life.
Jessica has developed a broad-ranging civil and commercial litigation practice, and uses her deep knowledge and expertise to act on behalf of individual clients, small businesses and large corporations. Jessica was called to the Bar in 2016 after receiving her Master of Laws from the University of Toronto. She has extensive litigation and trial experience and has appeared before the Court of Appeal, the Superior Court of Justice and Small Claims Court in Ontario, as well as the License Appeal Tribunal, the Supreme Court of Newfoundland and Labrador and the Alberta Queen's Bench. From 2018-2020 Jessica was an adjunct professor with Durham College in the School of Justice and Emergency Services and now sits on the Program Advisory Committee for the Law Clerk Advanced Program. Jessica also acts as Counsel for Pro Bono Ontario.

Daniel came to Katzman Litigation as an Articling Student equipped with a background in an array of legal fields, including privacy, technology and federal law. From a Montreal start, to graduating with honours from the University of Ottawa, and a 2019 call to the Bar, Daniel has quickly gained experience advocating for clients in Superior and Small Claims Courts. He specializes in disputes concerning real estate transactions, construction, loans and financing agreements, franchising, insurance and bankruptcy. While committed to his craft, Daniel is also passionate about subjects such as Roman history, astronomy, and the pursuit of continued education.

Fahad joined Katzman Litigation as an Articling Student from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2022. At Osgoode, Fahad pursued his interest in advocacy by working with public interest organizations aimed at protecting workers rights and tenant rights. Fahad’s interest in advocacy also led him to participate in various moots, where he earned Distinguished Oralist honours. As an active member of his law school community, Fahad served as Dean’s Fellow in Criminal Law for the 2020-2021 term. Prior to joining the firm, Fahad worked at the Ontario Securities Commission where he assisted on adjudicative securities proceedings. In his spare time, Fahad enjoys watching basketball and reading popular science books.

Francesca joined the firm as a Law Clerk. Prior to joining the firm, Francesca worked for a Criminal Defence Law Firm assisting clients in a variety of disputes. Francesca holds a Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Social Science and a certificate in Public Administration and the Law from York University. Knowing she wanted to pursue a career in the legal field, Francesca later became a licensed Paralegal and is gaining experience in Small Claims Court and Landlord and Tenant Board matters.
Ewa joined Katzman Litigation as a Law Clerk in 2023. Prior to taking on this role, she worked as a Legal Assistant for a busy Personal Injury Firm. Ewa earned a Master of Arts degree in Archaeology and has recently become a licensed Paralegal. In her spare time she enjoys writing, reading crime novels and staying on top of archaeological discoveries.
Pilar joined Katzman Litigation as a Legal Assistant after successfully obtaining her Paralegal License in January, 2023. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in English-Spanish Translation from Universidad de La Serena, Chile. As a former violin student Pilar enjoys attending different performing arts functions. She previously worked for the Chilean Consulate in Toronto, which encouraged her to pursue a career in law and strengthened her social awareness.
